Lump feed to a blast furnace can be washed effectively in CDE washing plants to remove all particles below 10 mm. This will improve the blast furnace productivity through better feed control as well as providing improvement in the quality of feed in terms of an increase in Fe value and a reduction in levels of Alumina and Silica content. Additionally the washed ore can be scrubbed in a CDE RotoMax logwasher to effect further improvements in the quality of ore.
